WENDELL THOMAS
Wendell is a social scientist and data evangelist with over 20 years of hands-on experience in social and economic research. He possesses strong analytical skills in managing and manipulating survey data. He is an experienced SPSS trainer and has conducted numerous training workshops in research methods and the use of SPSS. for public and private organizations as well as within academia. In addition to his research and consulting activities in the social sector, he founded and managed a data management firm for 17 years during which time he provided data capture solutions for surveys and census, data warehousing and other data management solutions to numerous clients including statistical department throughout the Caribbean.
Wendell has undertaken numerous consultancy assignments over the years, both individually and collaboratively. These assignments have required travel throughout the Caribbean, South America and Asia. Wendell holds a bachelors Degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine and a postgraduate diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology form the University of Portsmouth, UK.
EDWIN ST CATHERINE
Edwin is a statistician with over 26 years of experience in conducting surveys and censuses. Until recently he served as Director of Statistics in St Lucia where he championed the use of ICT to successfully transform the Statistics Department into one of the most efficient and respected in the region. His success as a statistician has resulted in him being actively sought - both regionally and by international agencies - to participate in many projects that are critical to the region's development prospects.
Technically, Edwin is experienced in sampling methodologies, poverty assessment, price indices, administering surveys using tablets, and R and SPSS programming among other competencies. Edwin holds an MPhil. in Economics and Politics from the University of Cambridge, UK.
DR. EMILY RAMSAHAI
Dr. Emily Ramsahai is a consulting data scientist with more than 20 years of industry experience in ICT having held senior positions at several large corporations in Trinidad and Tobago. She holds a Master's of Science in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, where she has facilitated the Bid Data and Visualization course for the Master's in Data Science. She completed her fellowship at the International Center for Genetic Engineering, New Delhi, India and continues to publish and collaborate with a number of researchers in the discipline.
MIRIAM M. JACOBS
Miriam is a business consultant with extensive experience in marketing and communications, human resource development and business development. She has over 25 years of experience working in the public and private sectors and has led many successful projects in Trinidad and Tobago, the wider Caribbean and the United Kingdom. Miriam is an expert trainer and has conducted training on many projects. She has also held lecturing positions at The College of The Bahamas and the Institute of Business, UWI - now The Arthur Lok Jack Graduate Business School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine and a Masters in Business Administration at The Hult International Business School, London Campus.
KRISTOPHER MAILLARD
Kristopher Maillard is an accomplished programmer with over 20 years of experience in software development. He has held several portfolios with leading technology providers including Manager e-Service, Technical Manager and Chief Software Architect. His programming expertise includes proficiency in Microsoft .NET, Active Server Pages, ASP.NET, ActiveX, DHTML, Jscript, JavaScript, XML, XSL, XSLT, Visual Basic, VBScript, VB.NET, c-Sharp.NET, HTML DOM, XML DOM, XPath, PhoneGap, iOS, Android and Phyton, among others.
Kristopher is proficient in database development, data warehousing and reporting dashboard development. Kristopher holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, and numerous technical certifications in functional areas of programming and software development.
DAVID BAZIL
David is a Statistician who has held various senior research roles over a career spanning more than fifteen years. He began his career as a Statistician at the Central Statistical Office, Trinidad and Tobago, where he served for more than eight years. His role, in this regard, involved the collection, collation, reporting and dissemination of information for both public consumption and for use as an input to the System of National Accounts. During his tenure, he headed the Agriculture, Economic Indicators, Trade and Travel Divisions, and the Continuous Sample Survey of the Population Divisions.
He has worked also at the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Senior Financial Analyst and as a Regulatory Economist at Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago. David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics graduate and postgraduate training in the area of Statistics, Marketing and Finance.
